　　Mr. Withanage is the founder of The BMB Group and its subsidiaries. He is one of Brunei's leading young entrepreneurs, having founded one of its largest private holding companies. Trained as an attorney, Mr. Withanage developed a successful career as a merchant banker with positions at a number of private equity firms. He is the principal founder of The Withanage Group, which represents the financial interests of several families and The BMB Group. He is also the founding President of the World Zakat Fund, one of the largest charitable initiatives in the Islamic world and a founding member of the Royal Islamic Council a forum established to align the political, religious and economic interests of the ruling families of the Islamic world. Mr. Withanage received his degree cum laude in Law and a BA in International Relations from The University of Auckland, New Zealand.
