　　中国国际机电产品博览会(简称“机博会”)是经国务院批准，由中华人民共和国商务部、中国国际贸易促进委员会、湖北省人民政府、武汉市人民政府共同举办，中国机械工业联合会、中国机电产品进出口商会、中国进出口银行共同支持的国家级、国际性、专业性博览会，是国家重点扶持的机电展。

　　从2000年开始，“机博会”已经成功举办四届。四年来，每逢金秋时节，来自世界各地和全国各省市的机电界朋友云集武汉，参加“机博会”，气氛空前热烈，凭添无限繁华。经过四年的运作，“机博会”的国际性、专业性不断增强，影响不断扩大，已成为国内外优势机电企业的年度盛会。

　　第五届“机博会”分为 “机电产品展”和“家用汽车及零部件展”两大部分。机电产品展定于2004年9月23日至9月26日，家用汽车及零部件展定于2004年10月15日至10月19日，在武汉国际会展中心举行。本届“机博会”将进一步加强与国内外企业的合作，突出招商引资作用。在展会期间将举办各类大型技术交流会、行业峰会、高级论坛、跨国采购、项目推介及洽谈等系列活动，为提升我国机电制造业水平，扩大我国机电产品出口，促进国际交流与合作，提供一个无比广阔的交际空间和多功能的招商引资平台。第六届武汉经贸洽谈会将同期举行。

　　第六届武汉经贸洽谈会以对外开放为先导，以招商引资、内引外联、培植科技型、外向型、多元化大中型企业为重点，将向国内外客商推介武汉市最新招商引资政策、项目和投资环境；召开招商引资洽谈会；在机械制造、汽车及零部件、光电子信息及环保等领域实现国内国外、内资外资的横向交流与合作。

　　The 5th session of China International Machinery & Electronic Products Exposition (CIME)

　　As an important exposition supported by the nation, China International Machinery & Electronic Products Exposition (CIME) is an international and professional one, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, and co-supported by the China Machinery Industry Union, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and the Export and Import Bank of China.

　　Since 2000, the CIME has been crowned with success for the past four sessions. The 5th session of CIME is divided into two parts: the Machinery & Electronic Products Exposition and the Household Cars & Spare Parts Exposition, which will be held at the Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center from Sep 23 to 26, 2004. The Sixth Wuhan Economic & Trade Fair will also be held at Wuhan in the same period.

　　Guided by opening-orientated polices and aimed at promoting foreign and domestic investment, the Sixth Wuhan Economic & Trade Fair is focusing on the technology renovation, multi operation and export enlargement of medium and large sized enterprises. During the fair, we will introduce our latest preferential policies, projects and investment environment to participants. A projects promotionseminar will be held and participants will find cooperative opportunities in the sectors of machinery, automobile, auto-component, optical electronic and environment protection.
